Welcome to the English Wine Bar 2024.
This year we are delighted to offer a selection of exclusively English wines from twelve different vineyards.
A varied choice of white, rose, red, sparkling, white, pink and a small selection of de-alcoholised wines.
It is one of the best selections of English wines you will find locally.
Once again, we are pleased to have a selection of local meads from the Iceni Meadery.
Not all the wines in the programme will be available at all times but we aim to have a good selection.
The Wine Bar will also stock lemonade and sparkling water should you wish to have a spritzer.

English Vineyard White
Congham Vineyard - Concerto Norfolk CV Dry 2019 10%
Dry white wine, from Congham Vineyard, which is on the outskirts of Kings Lynn, West Norfolk.
Dedham Vale - Colchester Oyster Dry 2019 10.5%
Medium dry white wine, giving a gentle slightly dry flavour, achieved with grapefruit and melon aromas to suffuse the nose and palate.
Dedham Vale - Willow Lake 2019 11%
A fresh wine, with apricots and almonds on the nose followed by tropical fruits and greengages on the palate.
Giffords Hall - Bacchus Dry 2022 11.5%
Bacchus grape which has had plenty of time on its lees to give it the full fresh aromas and punchy green fruit, hedgerow and elderflower flavours.

A very dry, crisp, refreshing white, reminiscent of an Alsace Pinot - very smooth, with a crisp acidity and good depth.

Fresh and fruity wine shows hints of elderflower, citrus and gooseberry, with floral notes and some herbaceous hints.
Stanlake Park - Regatta Dry White MV 11.5%
A consistent blend of several grape varieties, such as Ortega and Schonburger, to make a dry, crisp, fresh wine, with a clean herbaceous finish.
Three Choirs - Coleridge Hill Dry 2022 /2023
Ripe fruit flavours. Melon, mango and a hint of spice, with a crisp dry finish. A blend of Seyval Blanc, Reichensteiner and Muller Thurgau grapes.

Vegan. Very pale lemon. Creamy, custard and lemon on the nose. Juicy yellow fruits, apples with a crisp balance and attractive nuance.

Light and refreshing, medium dry, with a soft fruit character on the palate.
Folc Winery Kent - Rosé Dry 2023 12% New
Vegan. A blend of seven grape varieties There are notes of wild raspberries, vetiver and pink grapefruit on the palate.
Giffords Hall - Rosé Dry 2021 11%
White peach and roses, crisp acidity, delicate but concentrated with white fruit and floral accent.
Toppesfield Vineyard - Rosé Dry 2022 11%
Rose pink, off-dry wine with loads of soft summer fruit notes on the bouquet. A crisp acidity with hints of strawberry and peach sit lightly on the palate.

Soft delicious rosé wine, a 100% single-variety, it’s a complex aromas of cherries, rosehip, strawberries and cream and tight acidity. 
Stanlake Park - Pino Noir Rosé 2022 11.5%
English rosé is made from Rondo together with aromatic grapes such as Schonburger. This wine is dry, fruity and refreshing.

A delicious, delicate rosé, just off dry with a strong bouquet of strawberries and summer fruit.

Giffords Hall - St Edmundsbury Red 2022 11%
Light dry red from Pinot Noir and Rondo grapes, a rare ‘teinturier’ grape with red juice and red skin. The result is velvet soft and very fruity notes.
Dedham Vale - Red or Reserve Red 10.0%
Ruby red medium-bodied wine with red berry flavours of redcurrants, raspberries and liquorice. Aged in French Limousin oak barrels.
Three Choirs - Ravens Hill Red 11.1% 2023
A deep, ruby red wine full of ripe blackberry and cherry fruit on the nose with a subtle hint of lightly toasted oak from the American oak barrel ageing.
