An independent brewery producing a wide range of cask, keg, bottled and canned beers. Products available direct from the on-site shop and tours are available about twice a month. Nearly all the beers are gluten free..

Ossett Brewery was founded in 1998 at the back of the Brewers Pride on Low Mill Road. Founder and Chairman Bob Lawson started the brewery following a 30 year career brewing for Joshua Tetleys, Beverley Brothers and Kelham Island. Many of the original beers including Excelsior and Silver King are still produced today and have gone on to win many awards, including Excelsior being named ‘SIBA Supreme National Champion Beer of Britain’ in 2003. Within their estate, three sites have microbreweries in their cellars: Riverhead, Fernandes and Rat Brewery, between them producing a huge range varied and interesting beers each week

Founded in 1981, Woodforde’s is home to a wide range of beers & ales including two Supreme Champion Beers of Britain, and the FIFTYTWO° NORTH collection of craft beers. The brewery started in the 1960s during the new-wave revolution of home brewers creating authentic flavours & crafting their own beers. Always staying true to their values by using the best locally grown malt, carefully selected fresh whole hop flowers & water from the ancient aquifer below the brewery.

When Oakham Ales was founded back in 1993 the brewing world was different! Our beers were amongst the first in the UK to pioneer the use of hops from the USA. And our “drinks good … must be good” strategy has kept us at the forefront of UK brewing ever since! The first UK brewery to discover Citra hops and the home of legendary cask ales including JHB, Inferno and Bishops Farewell as well as Oakham Citra and its award winning big brother Green Devil IPA.
